As the Birthplace of Country Music, take the Crooked Road, Virginia's Heritage Music Trail, on a musical journey through the Blue Ridge Highlands to:

Abingdon has so much going on all the time, but is known around the world for its Barter Theatre, The State Theater of Virginia, its two-week-long Virginia Highlands Festival and Abingdon Historic District with its charming residences and craft shops.

Blacksburg is home to Virginia Tech, the state's largest university and home of Lane Stadium, where NCAA Hokies Football is played.

Before you leave the region, be sure to visit Saltville, "The Salt Capitol of the Confederacy" and its Museum of the Middle Appalachians, which pretty much sums up the geology, heritage and economic history of the region.
