Log Line: In this coming-of-age story, a transgender teen returns to his hometown after being away for four years. As he reconnects with his childhood friend and love interest, he struggles to navigate the complexities of their relationship as she grapples with accepting him for who he is now. As they both struggle to come to terms with their feelings and changing identities, they must confront the past and face their uncertain future together.
NON-UNION student film operating on deferred payment for the talent involved. Filming will take place in the month of October in the Harrisonburg, VA area. Food on set + access to the film for reels + IMDb credit + submissions to festivals across the nation + a Professional Screening of the Film in May at the Grafton-Stovall Theater is provided.
Ron – Trans Male 17-20, Caucasian, lean, post-top surgery. He projects a tough shell, a defense mechanism carefully concealing a tender and sweet interior. Ron sheds this protective shell, revealing a vulnerable core with Erin.
Young Ron – Female tween, Caucasian, unsure of herself, grapples with a profound sense of uncertainty about herself and her place in the world, conflicted with her gender identity.
Erin – Female 17-20, open ethnicity, short stature, unsure of her future, people-pleaser, very conscious of how she appears to others. Erin often hesitates to pursue what she truly wants due to societal expectations and judgments.
Young Erin – Female tween, open ethnicity, self-conscious of her appearance to others. Despite her vibrant spirit, feels the weight of external expectations shaping her path. She strives to meet the standards imposed upon her while secretly yearning for a space where she can authentically define herself.
