Log Line: A college student, on the verge of graduating, is constantly stalked by a silent, dark figure that ultimately leads to damaging realizations.

Non-Union student short film shooting on the weekends of October and November in the Harrisonburg area. No compensation for travel/housing provided. Unpaid, but Food + IMDB Credit + Access to the Film for Reels + submission to national film festivals + a Professional Screening of the Film in May at the Grafton-Stovall Theater is provided.

Nate (18-25) – His mind is focused on too many things all at once and he’s a perfectionist. He’s never fully sure of himself and repeatedly tries to correct his mistakes that most would think are no big deal. He’s vulnerable, always in a state of urgency, and hides his true emotions until the end when revelations are made.

Kayla (18-25) – She is Nate’s current girlfriend and is supportive but concerned about where their future goes. She always wants to be there for her boyfriend but has uncertainty in how long they can keep things going due to her still having an extra year of college and other conflicts approaching.

Natalie (18-25) – She only has one dialogue scene and one other appearance, but she has such a great impact on Nate and his journey. Their interaction at the beginning is as if they had a previous relationship with each other. She comes across as cold and uncaring towards Nate’s feelings. Her only other scene involves her seeing Nate one day when they walk past each other with another guy. She gives an expression of no compassion while having some regret.

Eli (18-25) – offscreen character with an intimidating voice. He only has one scene where his physical presence is felt but not actually visible. He has a large emotional impact on Nate as he breaks Nate’s confidence and makes him start to regret everything he has done with his life up to that point. His personality can be considered selfish, dominating, and self-deprecating.

Teacher (30-50) – Is assertive, has a strong presence, is a somewhat-intimidating woman who jumps the shark a little bit with her comments. Think Ms. Darbus from High School Musical.

Special Note: We invite individuals of all ages, experiences, abilities, ethnic backgrounds, gender expressions, and sexualities to audition.
