Casting Call: EXTRAS Needed for “The Silent Crisis” – Inspired by a True Story (Paid – Deferred)
We are currently casting extras (teens & adults) for select scenes in the upcoming independent short film “The Silent Crisis,” a gripping drama inspired by true events. The film explores the emotional toll and systemic disparities in urgency when a Black teen goes missing — and the community’s fight to bring him home.
Extras Needed For:
Basketball court scenes – teen and adult players (non-speaking)
Track & field runners – teen athletes (non-speaking)
Park bench scene – teens (non-speaking)
Community center scene – families and concerned searchers
Jogging scene – two adult joggers (one non-speaking)
News scene – reporter role (speaking)
Rate: Deferred payment of $25–$50 flat rate, depending on scene
Meals: Provided on set
Location: Newport News, VA
Filming Dates: Specific dates will be shared with selected extras
Time Commitment: 4–6 hours depending on scene
Local Hires Preferred: Must be based in the 757 area (Newport News, VA Beach, Portsmouth, Hampton, Norfolk, Suffolk, Chesapeake) or surrounding (Richmond accepted)
Requirements: Must be dependable, available, and have reliable transportation
