Charlottesville, VA, November 1 2024 – Light House Studio is thrilled to announce that the 20th annual Adrenaline Film Project will be held November 7-10, 2024 at the Vinegar Hill Theatre, our locally-owned, historical, and state-of-the-art community film center. Twelve talented, diverse teams (ages HS to adult) will spend 72 hours writing, filming, and editing short films in this one-of-a-kind workshop.
For 20 years, the Adrenaline Film Project has been a staple in the Charlottesville community. Previous winners have also found success in their acceptances to film schools, submissions to Sundance, involvement in the film industry, and with starting their own production companies.
This year’s mentors include AFP founder and Directors Guild of America award nominee Jeff Wadlow, Emmy award winning producer Steve Robillard, Independent Spirit award nominee Han West, and Light House Studio’s Program Director Rachel Lane.
The final films will premiere at the Adrenaline Film Project Screening on Sunday, November 10th at 7:00pm at the Vinegar Hill Theatre. Tickets are available for the public through Eventbrite. The screening concludes with an awards presentation which will include: the Judges Choice Award, Mentor Selection Award, Audience Award, and Actors Award. All screening attendees can participate in the judging process by voting for their favorite film.
Our panel of judges is composed of film industry professionals: Joshua Blum, Founder of Washington Square Films, Michael Hagos, Senior Creative Director at HBO, and more to be announced!
