Immerse yourself in another Meet The Filmmaker Event with Geoff Luck!
Light House Studio is excited to announce that Emmy award-nominated Producer and Director, Geoff Luck, will be joining us for our next installment of Meet The Filmmaker on January 25th at the Vinegar Hill Theatre. This event is open to the public and pay what you can.
Gain insight into documentary film from a seasoned professional! Geoff will share his experience as an Executive Producer for hundreds of programs in science and conservation and his experience directing films that appeared on Netflix, Disney+, PBS, and many other outlets. Geoff will screen episodes of his series WILD HOPE to help guide this event.
Among his awards and recognitions are being honored at The United Nations, The Museum of Modern Art, and the Association for the Advancement of Science, Outstanding Nature Documentary (Emmy nomination), Jackson Wild Media Award (Winner 2x, Finalist 3x), CINE Golden Eagle (3x), and Wildscreen Panda Award Theatrical (Finalist).
Geoff Luck holds film degrees from Harvard and the San Francisco Art Institute and taught filmmaking at Harvard, MIT, Boston University, and the Savannah College of Art & Design.

ABOUT LIGHT HOUSE STUDIO
For twenty-five years, Light House Studio has been equipping students with the skills and confidence to tell their stories and build community through collaborative filmmaking. We seek to foster a community of flourishing students, storytellers, and citizens.
In 2024, Light House taught 82 workshops to 1,193 students, resulting in 400 completed films; partnered with 58 local nonprofits and schools; had 34 acceptances to 28 different film festivals, with student films receiving 21 awards; and provided 63% of students with scholarships allowing them to attend at free or reduced cost. 98% of our students reported improved creativity; 99% improved their collaboration skills; and 96% improved storytelling and critical thinking skills.
