SYNOPSIS:
A romance drama set in the gritty underground world of hip-hop. When an emcee and a studio owner cross paths, their ambitions collide, and a love story unfolds amid their pursuit of success in the music business.
SEEKING TALENT FOR THE FOLLOWING ROLES:
Ziya (Lead) – Black female, age 25–45
Confident, driven, and passionate about music and business. A studio owner carving her lane in a male-dominated industry.
Shoots all 4 days
Pay: $900 (Post-Completion)
Carlos (Supporting) – Black male, age 25–45
Ziya’s ex-boyfriend. Arrogant, condescending, and wayward.
Shoots 1.5 days
Pay: $200 (Post-Completion)
Sayeed (Supporting) – Black male, age 25–45
Ziya’s mixing engineer. A passionate hip-hop head and music nerd, but streetwise.
Shoots 2.5 days
Pay: $300 (Post-Completion)
Michal (Supporting) – Black male or female, age 25–45
Can be played as a gay male or female. Feminine, flamboyant, and very forward. Fiercely loyal to Ziya and always ready to go to bat for her.
Shoots 1 day
Pay: $150 (Post-Completion)
DJ Lean (Supporting) – Black male, age 25–45
A street DJ with strong gang ties and an internationally syndicated mix show. Secretly on the down-low.
Shoots 1 day
Pay: $150 (Post-Completion)
Side Chick (Supporting) – Any race, age 25–35
Attractive, confident, and knows how to command attention.
Shoots 0.5 day
Pay: $75 (Post-Completion)
What Does “Post-Completion Pay” Mean?
Talent will be compensated after the film has been completed. Payment terms, including the amount and schedule, will be outlined in the actor’s contract once the film is finished and enters distribution.
