Richmond – Casting call for student thesis film – November 2024 – Unpaid

Genre: Drama Short
Synopsis: Jane, an aspiring filmmaker, runs into an old washed up producer(Cline) in an elevator on her way to work when the elevator runs into technical difficulties, during the outage, Jane attempts to pitch a film to Cline.

Shoot dates/location: 3-5 days, Shooting In November (Dates TBD)(Likely Weekends), Possibly Early January shoots, Richmond, Virginia

Role needed:
Jane: Female, Assistant At A Talent Agency, 20s / Aspiring filmmaker with big ideas, like way too big, Jane is very ambitious, but clueless on how to make a big budget film come into reality.
Cline: Male, Film Producer, 50s-60s / An older man who has been in the film industry for a long time, Cline is a guiding presence in the film.
Catherine: Female, Talent Agent, 40s-60s / Catherine is a chatty film agent trying to persuade Cline to work with a new star.
