Richmond – Casting call for VCUarts Cinema Directing Workshop – April 2025 – Unpaid

VCUarts Cinema is seeking local Richmond actors to participate in a Directing Workshop led by Professor Nile Price as part of his Directing in Motion course.

The next workshop is scheduled for Wednesday, March 19th, 2025 between 3-6pm. (Each scene is scheduled within a 30-minute time slot to accommodate actors’ schedule)

The goal of this workshop is to demystify the process of directing to help familiarize the students with the collaboration between Director and Actor.

Students have selected scenes from The Bear, Euphoria, Saturday Night, Queen & Slim, and Moonlight. These scenes will be filmed and shared with the actors for use in their reels if requested. To make the most of the experience, actors should be off-book for their scene.

Additional workshops are slated for April 2nd, 9th, & 16th.
